Cleveland, Ohio native Angela Stevenson-Ringo a new, upcoming and talent author making her way to the top of the book world. Writing, has always been a part of Angela’s life starting at a young age with an activate imagination. Stepping out on faith she decide it was time to share her gift with others and make writing the focus of her career. Through Angela eyes she captures passion, energy, hope, sadness, joy, inspiration and love in the essence of each of her poems.
Angela brings her words to life like a flowing river as she writes each page with such passion and power. Words that define who she is but what lies deep down in the depths of her heart and soul. She first made her debuted in 2008 with “Poems For Your Soul” where she capture life situations through her words in a compassionate way that gives others hopes and help to mend the broken hear ted through her uplifting and inspirational poems. In 2009 she released her second poetry book entitle, “Poems of Love Volume One” Angela captures the meaning of love, the kinds of love, love between friends and lovers and husband and wife.
In 2012 Angela will come out with her best seller Autobiography “Through It All Miracles Can Happen” she talks about her personal and private details of her life including a failed marriage, losing her health to Kidney failure which altered her life at a young age, going on Peritoneal Dialysis until receiving a Kidney Transplant and then losing her transplant kidney and going on Hemo Dialysis. When all hope and faith was gone God step in and blessed her with a true miracle. When all the odds were stacked against her, God had a greater plan in store for her. Angela’s story is powerful, moving and inspirational it will capture the hearts of her readers.
Angela has been featured in local media and newspapers when she and her brother Anthony Stevenson (deceased) both needed kidney transplants at the same time, Anthony needed a heart also. Angela once again was in the media spotlight when her husband gave her one of his kidneys and being Cleveland first transplant couple in 1994. In 1995 Angela and her husband received, "For What Is Perhaps The Greatest Expression of Courage and Love Award." Angela serves as treasurer of Warrensville Height Lion Club for several years and volunteered in the Bedford, Ohio School System for many years.
In 2003, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine asked Angela to be their first guest speaker in their program called “Renal Correlation Conference” where she shared her story about being on Hemo and Peritoneal Dialysis and also as a Kidney Transplant patient in front of a group of doctors. Angela’s Winter Image was one of three chosen for CDC (Center of Dialysis Care) Corporate holiday cards. Angela was a featured artist in a photo exhibit called “A Day in The Life of a Dialysis Patient” which was display at The HeathSpace Cleveland Museum and was a featured artist at Bedford Heights first Art Extravaganza in 2005.Angela enjoys volunteering at The Annual Teen Summit which is held twice a year by The Kidney Foundation of Ohio and Cleveland MOTTEP (Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education Program) along with many other events. Angela volunteers as an Art Therapy Assistant at CDC where she was a formal patient for four years. She enjoys singing in her church choir, painting, cooking, helping others and spending time with family.
Angela is attending Walden University online to receive her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing next year. She has received numerous of Certificate of Appreciation along with an Achievement Award in Child Care Center Administration, Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, Associate of Arts and is a License Manager Cosmetologist. Angela received Editor’s Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry, Bronze Commemorate Award Medallion and International Poet of Merit Crystal Award Trophy. Angela has been featured as, “Poet of the Month” and one of four “Spotlight Author’s” in From A Writer’s POV Magazine, “Author’s Fall Campaign.” Her poem, "If It Wasn't For Your Love" appeared in Writing Raw Online Magazine. Angela is also featured in Cold Coffee Writer's Magazine along with her poem, "My Prayer for You."
